Have you heard this old song "Name Game"? It's quite related to my steemit name "@tonie"! Actually it must be "toni" without "e". I just added it with letter e, to sounds like feminine. In french language usually words that ends with letter "e" means feminine word, but I use it in my nickname instead. Tonie is derived from my real name Mary Antonette, the last Queen of France! Kidding! My mom dreamed about it, but she wanted Jasmine instead of Mary Antonette but my father insisted, and that's how it came up. It's sounds girlash so when I was in college, I created this nickname toni for short. Some friends call me toni girl. But my family used to call me tonette except my grandfa and uncle, they call me tonia! Ppppfffffff sounds like old folks right? lol!!!!

Why I chose this name in my steemit account and what it means?

When they approved my account, I wasn't thinking other name. I just chose "tonie" to make it simple and easy to remember. Usually I used to create combination words, letters or numbers in some of my account but at this time, tonie came first in my mind. And I miss to be called toni with my friends too. This nickname means a tough woman in my own version. Actually I'm one of the boys and wanted to have a brother, so choosing this name seems like a girl power lol! The only flowers among the torns!

Will I change my name?

No plan to change my name. I'm contented with this name and people recognize me for who I am. The only thing I will change is my bad habit lol!!! Despite some people thought that tonie is a male, I'll never change it. But you can call me whatever you want. You can bully my name and that's fine lol!! I feel confident to be called toni or tonie, which reflects my personality and some aspect. Even my real name, no need to change, it was given to me and it will be always and forever. How about you?
