Hello everyone. It’s Resurrection Sunday and I hope you all had a meaningful Holy Week. I was nominated by @shirleynpenalosa to do the challenge about my name and I am happy to share the meaning behind my steemit name. Actually this is my real name, Maria Veronica Alipda. My first name stands for Maria Veronica and my last name is Alipda. My friends are not familiar with my name Veronica so I use my nickname Vic. Behind my nickname is a story when I was a kid. My mom calls me Vic because I look like a boy when I was a kid and until I grew up, it was used as my nickname. Many are quite deceived of my name because they thought that I was a boy,lol!!! So what I did is, I got my first name, Maria, did a shortcut on it-Ma, and got my nickname vic and tagged my last name along with it. And came my Steemit name @mavicalipda.

This is me. I am a girl but with a boyish name.

If I would be given the chance to change my name?
Well, for me, I am contented with my username and right from the start I chose this to be my username.Why? Because it's me. It's who I am and I wanted others to know that I am real. We all know that there are lots of scammers in every platform so I just want everyone to know that I am real person. So that's it folks. The story behind my steemit name.
