Can't Think Of A Better Place To Be - Than On A Boat Fishing In The Sea

The duck doesn't really offer too much in the way of perspective. Along with the vast openness of the image, it gives just enough to hang onto.
The image portrays one of the true pleasures of offshore fishing. Or really, offshore anything. There's something about that feeling of being so small that makes you appreciate the wonder of the ocean.
I've been out in misty conditions like this and had Grey Whales pop up right in front of us.

Out on the ocean, the never-ending flat horizon plays tricks on your eyes. The men and women who work out there can stare for hours, trying to find a sign of fish.
Every small whitecap calls attention to wandering eyes and they grow tired from looking. Is it a whale you see in the image above? The clouds are white barnacles and there's a tree for a spout.
If it is a whale, this boy better start swimming up!

A vision of Goliath Grouper and an old Spanish Galleon style ship crashing in on cloudy waves! What does the girl represent? Perhaps the essence of loss and the time between then and now? Your guess is as good as mine, as it should be.
I've always been a fan of fantasy adventure and what good Odyssey doesn't include the Sea? We float on top and dive down below, but there are things down there we just don't know.

And if you don't go fishing or frolicking out on the ocean, you'll never see one of these. You could catch it from shore, but it's just not the same.
Most people, whether they fish or not, know that the early bird gets the worm. It's true that morning is a typical time for fish to feed. Out on the ocean, catching a sunset is a hot time for catching fish.
I love the feeling of being on the open ocean especially at dusk or dawn.
It's the feeling of pure freedom. :):)
I am not a fisherman. I even guess that I would get sick on the boat!
But indeed the early birds do get the worms!
Happy fishing!
Cheers,
Peter

Oh it's definitely not the feeling of pure freedom if you get seasick. More like living hell. Thanks for commenting Peter. :)
