ေမာင္ကိုဟာ ပဥၥမတန္းေက်ာင္းသားတစ္ဦးပါ။ တစ္ေန႔ သူေက်ာင္းကေန ျပန္လာေတာ့ လမ္းမွာ အဖြားၾကီးတစ္ေယာက္ကို ေတြ႕တယ္။ အရင္ကလိုပဲ ဘာသိဘာသာ ေဘးကေန ေက်ာ္တက္လာေပမယ့္ ထူးျခားမႈတစ္ခုကို သြားေတြ႕တယ္။ အဖြားအိုက တစ္ခ်က္တစ္ခ်က္မွာ ခႏၶာကိုယ္ယိုင္သြားတာကိုေပါ့။ ဒါနဲ႔ပဲ သူက မလွမ္းမကမ္းကေန ေစာင့္ျကည့္ေနတယ္။ ခဏအျကာမွာ အဖြားအိုက ယိုင္ထိုးျပီး လဲေတာ့မလိုျဖစ္သြားပါတယ္။ သူ အျမန္ေျပးျပီး အဖြားအိုကို ထိန္းေပးလုိက္တယ္။
"အဖြား ေနေကာင္းရဲ႕လား" လို႔ ေမာင္ကိုကေမးလိုက္တယ္။
"ေအး သားေလးရယ္ အဖြားေခါင္းမူးေနတယ္။ အဖြားရဲ႕သားအိမ္ကို သြားလည္မလို႔ပါ။ အလာတုန္းက အေကာင္း။ လမ္းေရာက္မွ မူးေနာက္ေနာက္ျဖစ္ေနတယ္။ ေနကလည္းပူေတာ့ ခရီးပန္းျပီး ေသြးတိုးတာ ျဖစ္မယ္။" အဖြားအိုက ေမာင္ကိုရဲ႕လက္ေမာင္းကို ဆုပ္ကိုင္ရင္း ျဖည္းျဖည္းခ်င္းေျပာပါတယ္။
ေမာင္ကိုလည္း အဖြားအိုကို အရိပ္ေကာင္းတဲ့ သစ္ပင္ေအာက္ကို တျဖည္းျဖည္းတြဲေခၚပါတယ္။ ခဏျကာေတာ့ အပင္ရိပ္ရဲ႕ ေအးျမမႈေျကာင့္ အဖြားအိုလည္း အနည္းငယ္လန္းဆန္းသြားပါတယ္။ ေမာင္ကိုလည္း ပို႔မယ့္ပို႔မွေတာ့ ကူးတို႔ေရာက္ေအာင္ ပို့မယ္ဆိုျပီး အဖြားအိုကို အိမ္အထိ လိုက္ပို႔ေပးပါတယ္။ အဖြားအိုညႊန္ျပတဲ့ေနရာက သူတို႔လမ္းနဲ႔ တျဖည္းျဖည္းနီးလာတယ္။
ေမာင္ကိုလည္း ေတြးမိတာေပါ့။
"သူ႔သားက ငါတို႔လမ္းနားမွာ ေနတာျဖစ္မယ္"
ဒါေပမဲ့ အဖြားအိုသြားခ်င္တာက သူတို႔လမ္းျဖစ္ေနတယ္။
"အင္း လမ္းထဲက ဘယ္သူမ်ားပါလိမ့္။ ဒီအခ်ိန္ဆို လမ္းထဲက လူအေတာ္မ်ားမ်ား အလုပ္သြားေနျကျပီ။ ဘယ္သူမွ မရွိရင္လည္း ငါ့အိမ္မွာ ခဏေလာက္ ေခၚနားခိုင္းလုိက္မယ္။"
ဒီလိုနဲ႔ သူတို႔အိမ္နားေရာက္လာတယ္။ အဖြားအိုရဲ႕လိပ္စာက သူတို႔အိမ္ဆိုတာ သိသြားေတာ့ ေမာင္ကိုအံ့ၾသသြားတယ္။
"အဖြားက ဘယ္သူ႔ရဲ႕အေမလဲ" ေပါ့။
ဒီေတာ့မွ သူ႔အေဖရဲ႕အေမမွန္း ေမာင္ကိုသိသြားတယ္။
"လက္စသတ္ေတာ့ အဖြားက ေတာမွာေနတဲ့ ငါ့အဖြားကိုး။"
သူ႔အေဖတို႔ တစ္ႏွစ္တစ္ခါ ရြာျပန္လည္ၾကေပမယ့္ ေမာင္ကိုက ေႏြရာသီက်ဴရွင္ေတြ သင္တန္းေတြ ရွိတာေၾကာင့္ လိုက္ပါ မသြားျဖစ္ေတာ့ အဖြားကို မသိတာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ဒီႏွစ္ ေႏြရာသီမွာ ေမာင္ကိုရဲ႕အေဖက အလုပ္ကိစၥနဲ႔ ခရီးထြက္စရာ ရွိတာေၾကာင့္ အခါတိုင္းလို ျပန္မလည္ျဖစ္ပါဘူး။ ဒါနဲ႔ပဲ သားကို ေတြ႕ခ်င္တဲ့ အေမျဖစ္သူက ကိုယ္တုိင္ေရာက္ခ်လာတာပါ။ ဖုန္းဆက္အေၾကာင္းၾကားရမွန္းလည္း မသိတာေၾကာင့္ လိပ္စာနဲ႔သာ တစ္ကိုယ္တည္း ေရာက္ခ်လာတာပါ။
အမွတ္တမဲ့ ကူညီမႈေလးက ၾကီးမားတဲ့တန္ဖိုးတစ္ခု ျဖစ္ထြန္းသြားေစပါတယ္။ အဖြားအိုကလည္း သူ႔ကို စိတ္ထားေကာင္းေကာင္းနဲ႔ ကူညီေပးတဲ့ ေကာင္ေလးက သူ႔ေျမးေလးမွန္းသိသြားတဲ့အခါ ဝမ္းသာပီတိျဖစ္သြားပါတယ္။ ေမာင္ကိုလည္း အေမအေဖက ခ်ီးက်ဴးတာကို ခံရပါတယ္။
