RE: Musing Daily Questions 🐶

in #musing6 years ago

Is life better now than in the past?

When we look at this question superficially, we can conclude that life is much better now than, for example, 50, 200 or even a thousand years ago. However, this judgement is based mainly on advances in various fields such as technology, health, human rights and the ease of life. However, if we subtract these achievements from our consideration, is modern life much better than in the past? We are happier today than people were 50 years ago? Are meaningful life and we living a more fulfilling? Is it possible that our ancestors were also happy with their lives, despite much tougher conditions?

I don't think that TV serials, news and free porno on the internet made our lives better, or more happier, but ability to educate myself with internet and express my thought it's really cool, and add meaning to my life.

I think the past was better because a lot has been destroyed like mother earth, values, traditions, and so on.

This is just my point of view on how things are in general. Of course, there are improvements science, technology, transportation and so on. But the most important things seems lost.

People seem happier and more content in the past. And that's what a lot of people search nowadays.
