In future, if someone treats you in a way that you don't like... you're totally justified to bring it up later and tell them that you didn't like being disrespected and ask them not to do it again. My partner and I have had several conversations like that over the course of our relationship and it really does make us stronger. Maybe he was being immature or maybe he didn't realise he upset you... but he'll never know how much it hurt you if you don't tell him.
