Few people, even socialists, really know what socialism is because those who seek or wish to retain power over other people have a strong incentive to mislead us. Ultimately, that is what socialism is: whether for the benefit of the few or the many, it is the use of sociopolitical power to sway or coerce private decisions, and that is easier to do when people are in the dark about what is happening.
Communism is a political rationality that looks to bring a more libertarian (commonly fundamentally populist) dispersion of social advantages (wage, riches, the social bases of confidence and so on) about. The component through which this populism is acknowledged is through social responsibility for parts of the methods for creation. This could possibly require state responsibility for enterprises, what in England have been known as the telling statures of the economy. Or on the other hand, it could be different types of social proprietorship; cooperatives et cetera. The ultimate objective of communism is the abrogation of free enterprise. Communism can be, however require not be vote based.
All parts of this definition are imperative. The attention on social proprietorship and the emphasis on distributive uniformity, and that communism has not come to terms with private enterprise. This recognizes communism from dynamic/libertarian types of progressivism and from social majority rule government. Note likewise that no place above did I allude to "opportunity" or "Freedom". This is another key recognizing highlight amongst communism and dynamic radicalism. For the dynamic liberal, opportunity is a prime or fundamental political esteem. That need not be the situation for communism (obviously, numerous really existing communists think energetically about flexibility. I am simply outlining the essential hypothetical duties).
