When you are looking for a job and you are unemployed it is harder to get a job than when you are employed. You don't have the added pressure of having to land the job.
The more pressure you put on your self the more desperate you are and it may come across in the interview. Subconsciously you maybe pushing too hard.
The majority of the ones I have been to and not made the cut is when I am already employed. I would suggest that I may have attended 20 or 25 over the last 20 years and on some of them had made up my mind that the job wasn't for me.
When you are looking for a job you are looking to improve your career path and earnings. Sometimes they don't fall into place and it is not the end of the world.
Don't get down if you are job hunting we have all been there and it takes time. There will be a job for you that matches what you are looking for. Sometimes it is best to find a job that isn't great but you are employed. An employer will look at you differently as he won't be saying to himself/herself what is wrong with you.
Anytime I have ever been on an interview in the last 40 years I have been offered the job.
I have turned a few down as I did not like the conditions, or pay or whatever, but I have at least had an offer.
Now that does mean I have applied for jobs and not even made it to the interview stage. There are hundreds of those. But any time I have had an interview there has always been an offer.
I had saved time to create a small screenprinting business. It was my first idea. I bought all the material, I even made samples but I did not continue. I do not know why anymore! Maybe because I was already an employee.
I also opened a small video game room that did not hold too.
The third was a mobile phone unlocking project, flashing and also computer maintenance. I even bought an unlock box, create a Facebook page, but I gave up, or I would say "put away" that in the closet.
I have many other projects and sometimes I wonder if I will not give up if I commit myself.
I always thought I needed partners for my projects. I always had the need to surround myself with people to boost me when I needed it.
I can't remember as there were so many.
