Readying myself to share some music on steemit
I'm gearing up to share a song or two.
I feel a lot of points of fear around the issue that I'd like to stamp out, not one of which is whether or not people like it. I just want to share myself with you.
What if it gets lost in the endless sea of posts that fill our feeds?
What if someone jacks the lyrics?
What happens after 7 days when I want to keep sharing that song with you?
What happens when my music leads back to my identity?
What happens when people I don't know recognize me in the street?
What if you like it for all the wrong reasons?
I'm all good, I‘m all good, just working on these.
Someone please make it easier for me, I feel like a kid who is about to step out on stage....
Hi, I understand your fear but just do whatever makes you happy. I can't wait to listen to your songs.
YooOo just put it out there!!! I've battled my own insecurities when it comes to my music, but once you put it out, and focus on more music making ... you'll be straight!!
Also, if you havent heard of Musicoin check em out ... fan boying hard on them hahah
... And just to break the ice, here's the first track i've actually released online .. doesn't sound exactly how i wanted it ... but i'm still hyped i put it up .. at the very least, future fans will see the progression hhahah

You are right.
I already have songs on SoundCloud but they are tied to my Facebook and I’m trying to keep my steemit account unattached to my name and Facebook account. It was pretty hard to get people to listen on Facebook, hopefully it’ll be easier on steemit.
Musician seems cool, but what’s motivating people to go out and buy those coins, it’s already hard enough to get people to support artists...having to buy a coin for it seems like an extra step.
I tried to listen to your song but none of the songs on that site would load for me.
Firstly it's very daunting at first but once you have done it you will feel so much more confident.
To address your third question - dsound allows you to upload the same song again after 7 days. It will generate a new URL with a time stamp in it.
Also I know I'm biased as it is my website but if you really want to get your music heard then get it on Musicoin and then add it to AtomCollectorRecords.com :-) You will be a amazed at how many people listen to your songs.
Add dsound & Musicoin tracks and get more plays!

Also when you said "Musician seems cool" I assume you meant Musicoin? If so no one has to buy coins if they don't want to. Plays are provided by "UBI" which is funded by the miners.
yea like atom collector said ... the listener doesnt need to buy coins ... they just listen, and the UBI does it all...
and yea their about to fork/upgrade and have been down a few days ... i havent been able to hear songs either ...

I really know whats going on inside you, in case i just had the same questions!
Just let me say: if you feel like it has to be heared - publish it! If its just to write of some frustration and feels to intimate to show to anyone - keep it as your own little secret!
I guess everyone of us is here for some reason. For some change in the world. A certain change only we could bring to the world! Whether you a mighty politican, wise scientist or just a thoughtful writer... all three can reach millions of people and help them in certain ways :)
Of course the list goes on to the smallest thing like Plankton we could imagine :) Maybe you write the songs hundreds of people listen to to really feel alive or to shake up depression or that helps them solve their lifeproblems...
You never know what your talent will have impact on others unsless you make it :))

I would love for it to be heard, just trying to show it in as natural a way as possible where people focus on what I have to offer rather than on ME.
It helps to have just talked to one of my favorite musicians growing up , catching up with him and seeing his reaction when he realized how much of an impact he has had on me just by echoing my own thoughts and feelings which pushed me to try and speak my mind as well as I could and showed me that I was not alone.
Just do it!

I’m actually quite proud of my songs, I just don’t know how to make them sound the way I’d like them to sound, but I’m happy to show them as they are if people are interested. I’m mostly just terrified of unwanted attention and being treated like a product or trophy, but I’m sure I’ll be fine. I was ready to upload last night but I Can’t upload on dsound....not sure what to do
You really know what you are doing by chosing music as a profession.
