Finally: Music is magic, music is emotion "Creed"

I am making some time to write... Just because I have to set my mind on different things for a moment :).
Yesterday I was driving home and put on a playlist on Spotify which I created some time ago. Within this list there are some of the most great songs ever (for me). While listening and driving "With Arms wide open" by Creed came by. Creed (for those who don't know) was a American band founded in 1995. Their music is labeled "Postgrunge" although I am not really about putting music into boxes.
I got to now Creed by a old colleque of mine. He introduced the albums (their second album) Human Clay to me and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Their sound was so renewing to me, the massive guitarrifs. exploding drums and melodic basslines. I thought it was just awesome...

One of the most impressive songs is for me "Higher" , it got all the ingredients for speeding in my car 😂 😂 . The melodic singing of Scott Stapp with the great riffs from Mark Tremonti (later on he formed Alter Bridge).
But besides Higer they have made some great songs, I whished I have could seen them live at that time.
Another song with such a drive is Bullets
Source again a song to step some harder on the gass-pedal.
One of their greatest hits in the charts was for sure "With arms wide open" , a great ballad which is a often covered song for bands, but I wouldn't try it because there is only one version, and that is the Creed version :)

I remember when Higher came out. It was pretty impressive. I never really listened to much of their other stuff and I felt like "Arms Wide Open" was way over played on the radio. At least over here it was. Nice post though, it definitely brought back some memories.
Arms wide open has been a hit overhere too but (at least I think) it wasn't overplayed. I have listened to Creed again this weekend, and I must say I was again impressed by the power of their music..

Thanks :) with arms wide open was a hit here, but not over played I think.they werent as bif here as in the states. I think human clay was their best album for sure. Great songs trough lyrics as music as wel.
