Music Tutorial #17: Instructional Video on Reading Music Notes Fast with Rosa!

This is a Series of Short Videos on: How To Read Music Notes Fast - Beginners Level

Today's Lesson #17: Traditional Method: Use Acronyms to Remember Order of Notes

I want to let you know the TRADITIONAL view that teaches Acronyms to help you remember the order of notes.

Although I will teach you my CREATIVE non-traditional method which is much faster, but you need to know how music notes are usually taught in the traditional way.

The traditional way has its value in itself as everyone talks about it so this is why you need to know this method. This method does not work as good as mine because it requires your brain to memorize more things. When you need to memorize, things get slowed down.

Nevertheless it is still EFFECTIVE in using this method even though it is not the most EFFICIENT way.

Read Treble Clef Notes for the LINES:

To help you retain the letters in your memory, you can use this word cue:

Every

Good

Boy

Does

Fine

They correspond to E G B D F

Read Treble Clef Notes for the SPACES:

To help you retain the letters in your memory, you can use this word cue: FACE

  • It spells the word FACE.

  • So that is easy to remember.

  • There is no need to use ACRONYMS because we don't want to stuff our brain with unnecessary information.

For the Bass Clef Notes - LINES:

To help you retain the letters in your memory, you can use this word cue:

Good

Boys

Do

Fine

Always

They correspond to G B D F A

For the Bass Clef Notes - SPACES:

To help you retain the letters in your memory, you can use this word cue:

All

Cars

Eat

Gas
