The traitorous guitar player! - I love playing bass guitar :P !
There is a ''popular saying'' that Bass players are frustrated guitar players ... and that's a lie! It's a whole different instrument and playing Bass like a guitar player will get your face punched! .. Having said this.. I'm kind of a frustrated bass player! hahaha , I always jump in on the Bass playing side when there is no one to fill in the spot, I love the challenge of locking in with the drummer and help the rhythm section move forward. I'm saving for a 5 string bass , on the not so expensive side... any suggestions?

You doesn't need that 5th string, go for a regular bass and enjoy. The only genre that seize that string is urban merengue dominicano. Take a look to the "ponche" in the 5th. This is my favorite bass player in the whole world.

No vi que hablabas español. Bueno... misma cosa, con un bajo de cuatro cuerdas la gozas igual que con uno de cinco, tienen muy pocas aplicaciones reales. Saludos!
