Crazy American Head Charge

in #music8 years ago

How do people get the idea of creating a rock band? Yes, in different ways. Maybe after a hard booze-party and getting into a rehabilitation clinic, like, for example, Chad Hanks and Cameron Heacock. Creators of the band AHC acquainted, getting a glucose, talked and decided that they can write music together.

The approach to writing music is peculiar, due to what their songs are not perceived by all. But if you listened and you liked it - you'll gonna be like a drug addict waiting for another portion of sullen guitar riffs and synthesizer. American Head Charge even compare with someone hard, so I will not not to make a mistake.

The band has four full-length albums, one DVD and a mini-album. A bit for a band that existed for twenty years. But still, they make interesting and dangerous things.

The most famous song in the discography of the band is "Just So You Know" from the second album "The War of Art" 2001. On it and I propose to make a short pause:

Probably the coolest composition of all that AHC created is "Fiend". A heavy melody with some sneer and mounting aggression in Hikok's voice. When you listen, you want at the same time, that it shut up and always plays, finally, because at some point you catch yourself on a mind that it are scary. And in a similar spirit, the entire album "The Feeding", which appeared in 2005, was recorded.

But "Loyalty", which opens the tracklist "Feeding", I like more of all. Was shot video clip, perhaps one of the most great. Darkness, a psychiatric hospital and a bald nurse.

Each composition "Feeding", from the first to the last - it's a grim breath of industrial with evil alternative metal guitar parts.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to say something about the future of American Head Charge. Yet long before the release in 2016 of a new studio vocalist Cameron Heacock, he left fellow musicians as a whole. The leader of the group and his good friend Chad Hanks, with whom the history of the AHC began, died in 2017. About Heacock for a long time did not hear, until in April 2018 in Minneapolis he was detained by the police with a car full of stolen electric guitars. I do not know how serious it is, but for some reason it seems to me that on this page in rock music history of American Head Charge came to an end.
