I'm starting a new music series. Instead of songs in my head upon waking, I just want to share some of my favorite songs.

Each entry will have at least a slightly different header image. The background will change every 4 songs. This is so I have a chance to practice my Photoshop skills. I'm trying to learn more about graphic design to help me with web and FileMaker development.

These are songs that are more in the psychedelic, spacey, stoner, or just plain weird variety.

Mogwai is one of my all-time favorite bands. I've seen them live a bunch of times. They know how to be whisper quiet and brutally loud when they need to be. I love all of the electronic and experimental aspects of their sound. Not only do they have multiple guitars, but layered samples, keyboards, soundscapes. Many of their songs are instrumental, but not all of them.

Fun fact: I have a Mogwai t-shirt which simply has the name MOGWAI written in large letters across the chest. That shirt has by far gotten me more comments and questions than any other I've had. People are always very curious what Mogwai means, or if they know of the film Gremlins, they wonder why I have the word Mogwai written on my shirt.
