Eye on Artists: Jimmy Cliff
Another great artist that used the guitar sound is Jimmy Cliff. You may have seen the film "The Harder They Come" that you can watch for $4 on youtube. It stars Jimmy Cliff and is a cool movie about reggae life, it's also a cool song.
One of his most popular songs is "I Can See Clearly Now" which discusses the paradigm shifting nature of life when someone finally understands the world and can better navigate toward their goals. Can't wait for some bright sunshining day!!
Another big hit of his is "Many Rivers to Cross" that talks about the nature of the human condition of trials and tribulations and living one's life on their own terms and anomie of modernity. All around some heady self actualization music that is enjoyable and chill.
Another big hit, that is dope and also talks about self determination, hard work and planning toward a goal--such great music, "You can get it if you really want"
Probably my favorite song of his is "Music Maker" because I love making and listening to music, especially Jimmy Cliff, hope you do too.

I @mammasitta was lucky to be on tour as his tour manager with Jimmy back in the late 80's . Lovely man and wonderful, classic artist!!!
