Lavender Dream
Repost from my nouw blog :)
Did you know in Hungary they love lavender?
Lavander is noticeably a part of the Hungarian culture, at least what I have noticed when I see many things flavoured with lavender. They organize a yearly lavenderfestival in Tihany, a small town by the Lake Balaton. Unfortunately, we missed that festival by a week! In that festival you can try all kinds of things in lavender flavour, even lavender beer!
In Budapest, we found a cute ice cream place with all kinds of ice cream with lavender flavour like chocolate lavender, white chocolate lavender and many more!
I was surprised to find that they have such delicious ice cream in Budapest! Even rose shaped ice creams that were so delicious!
It was such a delight discovering the different ice creams! While traveling I always want to check out what kind of music they have and in the classical music arena I was curious enough to listen to Béla Bartók who is regarded as one of the greatest Hungarian composers alongside with Liszt. Below you can check out a full concert by an orchestra! Very dramatic and a good climax for the evening!
Would you like to know more about Budapest or about something else? Please comment below!
Have a great Saturday and we'll meet again on Wednesday Break!
Bisous
There is also an islan in Croatia, Hvar, famous for the lavander. I didn't know for the Hungary, that's why I found thos post interesting. Tnx😊
How cool! Didn't know that either :) I think lavender is also very known in Côte d'Azur in France, if I don't remember wrong. I'd love to travel to Croatia someday!
