When things get Grim

Being known as a rapper is like being a felon; no one really wants to see you out of that box. My love for Rock n Roll goes deeper than Joan Jett. One of the first beats I created for myself was punk/industrial rock and it later became my very first video. The idea of Grim was to go against anything or anyone in my pathway to success or ultimate happiness. This person, to the audience, could be your spouse, boss, friend etc. That person to wad all of the above including myself.

The concept of the video was a play on the words in the pre chorus of the song, " you wanna swallow my dreams, you wanna make me a zombie." The zombie in this scenario being a person who allows anyone to manipulate them and control their lives. My friend Paul von Stoetzel was the director who took a few scene possibilities I had scribbled in my notebook and helped me fine tune to plot and character choices.

For three days his crew Killing Joke Films, and a slew of talented actors and dancers turned NE Minneapolis, Mn into a pre zombie apocalypse battleground. After sword swinging and zombie slaying, the footage was sent off to Marlee MacLeod who edited and added special effects to the video.
