How to play guitar(Series Part 11) Led Zeppelin - Black Dog

Hey Steemians!

I hope you are all feeling great today, I know I am. I always like to take it back to the classics when teaching guitar. I feel as though songs like this one constucted a bunch of what we hear in music today. Especially influence in things like southern rock, this is a great song to learn.

Led Zeppelin - Black Dog / Level : Moderate to Expert

With this song we see a lot of pull offs and a ton of movement, so be sure to have your fingers warmed up. We are playing a ton of lead guitar and combining it with a bunch of fat rhythem. First off lets take a few listens to the song itself. Get a good feel for how the guitar flows and how the song is structured. Lets listen:

As you can hear we will be playing that initial run a whole bunch through this song. It is essential to be able to run fast with this one. Your fingers will be needing a lot of practice to move like this. All this takes is slowing down the song. Take the timing and cut it in half. Hell you can even play it at 10 bpm if thats what it takes for you to learn it. We need to take a look at the tab structure next.
