Many of you know that Autumn Leaves, the song, is close to my heart. I offer a video recording of myself at the piano recorded in Davenport, Iowa. The local Newspaper, The Quad City Times, was offering free recordings for local musicians. This was one of five video I recorded at the time. I remember it was several years ago on a snowy January at the River Music Experience (RME), downtown Davenport. Looking back, I would change it up a bit today, keeping the basic format and ambiances. However, am most grateful for this recording.

The Styled Ambiance of Two Moods

I offer two moods in creating the ambiance to the music. You will hear both the sound of a concert piano and jazz in the development. The performance is in a standard ABA structure, common in both Classical Sonata form and Jazz. You may hear the influences of Roger Williams (Pianist originally from Des Moines, IA), and the improvisation in the middle development. I have always enjoyed a good combo being influenced by such folks as Dave Brubeck, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson and others.

I am based in the Quad Cities and have been providing music since 1985. I entertain for weddings, retirement homes, church, corporate venues, singing telegrams and costumed events.
