Amigos de steemit, bienvenidos a mi blog, este espacio dónde presento contenido musical, quiero agradecer a @isaria, @ausbitbanck, @curie y a la comunidad de @cervantes, @classical-music, @classical-radio, por todo el apoyo.
Nuestra música popular venezolana cuenta con uno de sus más grandes exponentes, un criollo que logró darle nombre, identidad y alto prestigio a la música que nos identifica como nación y como un pueblo apasionado de nuestro folklore. Canciones de géneros variados que incluyen valses, danzas, merengues, joropos, coplas, entre otros, nos llevan a conocer un poco sobre la Biografía de Eduardo Serrano, un niño que nace en la capital de Venezuela (Caracas), en la parroquia San Juan, el día 14 de febrero de 1911, hijo de Don Florencio Serrano, y Adela Torres Tejera, ambos españoles, y son ellos los que inducen a Eduardo a muy pequeña edad (7 años) a incursionar en el mundo de la música, inscribiéndolo en la academia de música y declamación de Caracas bajo la guía de los profesores José Bustamante y Vicente Emilio Sojo en Teoría y Solfeo, sus estudios de violín con el maestro Gabriel Montero, Armonía y Saxofón bajo la tutela de los profesores Pedro Biana y el Maestro Lefevre.
En el año 1926 a la edad de 15 años, realiza su primer trabajo como músico en el Dancing "La Bomboniere", ubicado en la esquina de la Pelota, Caracas. Es en el año 1928 cuando funda su orquesta Flavia, y desde ahí incursiona en diferentes orquestas, fue director de cultura de la UCV, participó como escritor de música de diversas películas venezolanas como: Alma Llanera”, “Flor del Campo”, “Amanecer a la vida” y “La Balandra Isabel llegó esta tarde”.
La popularidad de este músico criollo logra conquistar corazones con sus innumerables obras musicales, ¿quién no ha bailado al son del merengue? “barlovento tierra ardiente del tambor.” canción que escribió sin conocer éste hermoso lugar, pero con una clara imaginación de lo que es esta tierra ardiente barloventeña, o, quien no a danzado al golpe del tambor de “San Juan to´ lo tiene, San Juan todo lo da”. Ah y es que no puedo dejar de mencionar también los valses camurí y frente al mar, este último uno de mis preferidos por su dedicación al amor teniendo como fondo el paisaje del mar.
Es por esta y muchas obras musicales más que el maestro Eduardo Serrano para mí, es uno de los compositores venezolanos más apreciados por su trabajo artístico creativo. Tristemente se marcha de este plano terrenal un 13 de Octubre del año 2008. Y es por ello que en honor a su memoria rindo honor interpretando para todos ustedes el vals frente al mar junto a mi hermano @davidcentenor en la ejecución del cuatro.

Our popular Venezuelan music has one of its greatest exponents, a Creole who managed to give name, identity and high prestige to the music that identifies us as a nation and as a people passionate about our folklore. Songs of varied genres that include waltzes, dances, meringues, joropos, coplas, among others take us to know a bit about the Biography of Eduardo Serrano, a child born in the capital of Venezuela (Caracas), in the San Juan parish, on February 14, 1911, son of Don Florencio Serrano, and Adela Torres Tejera, both Spaniards, and it is they who induce Eduardo at a very young age (7 years) to enter the world of music by enrolling him in the academy of music and declamation of Caracas under the guidance of professors José Bustamante and Vicente Emilio Sojo in theory and solfege, his violin studies with the maestro Gabriel Montero, and harmony and saxophone under the tutelage of professors Pedro Biana and Maestro Lefevre.

Sadly he leaves this earthly plane on October 13, 2008. And that is why honor to his memory I honor honor interpreting for all of you the waltz in front of the sea, my brother @davidcentenor at four.
