RE: Cave Recording - 'New' Music #3 - "Monday the Twentieth Blues in E minor"

Monty, rock on man, this is very unique and reading your response to Carl Gnash is very interesting, hippie cave living is probably a pretty good stop to let some of that energy go, lock that creative energy into the block chain!

I appreciate what you are doing, and your message, but I do prefer to do my lyrics with pen and paper, I don't take too long, hardly ever more than an hour, but I do like to back up and adjust sometimes. But I write a song, a poem really, all in one go, then I sing it.

So I perhaps do make things a bit less spontaneous than your way might allow, perhaps to each their own style?

Love and Light Monty!

Heya ecoinstant,

Thanks for your response. Ya, living in the cave is the bomb!

I also write songs in your fashion and in more conventional methods. I'll re-organise automatic writing I've written before and put it in a verse chorus bridge instrumental format. Or something like that.

With this series I want to illuminate the use of automatic writing as a tool for self expression and also to show how easy things can be made into music.

In a future episode I will break down the same automatic writing and make it into a conventional song style and do it in less than ten minutes.

I want to take the hard work out of songwriting for people. I see that 'professional songwriting' has put it in a pandora's box for many people and it isn't like that at all.

It's easy!

In love,

Monty
