My Top 3 New Songs That You Must Listen To!!!! (Week 1)

Hi Guys,

Im fairly new to this whole Steemit thing, and I couldn't think of a way to start off this blog posting. I decided to just write about my interests and things I like, so thats where this topic came from. I'd like to call myself an avid music listener, liking various genres and having the experience of listening to so many hours of music I can't even count. I am in no way a music expert or someone that you should listen to. I just wanted to share some stuff I am really liking at the moment to try to help anyone just try to find new music that they might turn out loving!

The following songs will not be put in order based on rankings or anything:

SCHOOLBOY Q - DOPE DEALER (FEAT. E-40)

This song by Schoolboy Q featuring the famous bayside rapper, E-40, comes off of Schoolboy's recently released album Blank Face. I think the whole album itself is incredible, but Dope Dealer really stands out. THat Part, featuring Kanye West is easily the most popular song on the album, but Dope Dealer is slowly gaining steam and becoming one of the fan favorites of the album. The track features fast paced beats with a really sick sounding instrumental. E-40's hook is just classic, as he uses his infamous, unique rap style. You will easily be able to recognize his voice by just hearing one line. The combination of both of these rappers' styles make a track that is truly unique, and can be listened in any setting, whether thats working out, doing work or bumping it at a party.

FOSTER THE PEOPLE - NEVERMIND

Nevermind by Foster The People comes off their 2014 album Supermodel. Supermodel features a new more "trippy" style, opposed to its electronic/techno beat style on their first album Torches. Nevermind, however strays from the "trippy" style featured throughout the whole album and kicks back to a more classical, chill musical style. Featuring a constant acoustic guitar chord that is played in the background, Nevermind reminds you much of a classical Spanish love song, known for their soothing acoustics. Halfway through Nevermind, the song hits you with a hard electric guitar chord that really makes me love the song. Something about the simple yet powerful chord just really leaves a stain in your ear. I found myself constantly rewinding to the part where that chord first hits, as it just sends chills down your spine when it first blows out. To make sure we are all on the same page, this electric guitar chord first appears at around the 2:50 mark. Nevermind is honestly a huge hidden gem in the Supermodel album and is a must listen for any alternative/electronic rock fans.

JONAS BLUE - FAST CAR (FEAT. DAKOTA)

You have probably heard of Jonas Blue, but at the same time you probably haven't. The single Fast Car which is a house remix of the classical song "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman, has become one of the most popular songs in the US. Fast Car was rocking steady on the Spotify Top 50 list only until recently when it dropped off. Jonas Blue has gained popularity for Fast Car, but people have never heard of him before, which is fair considering this is his first single! The ability to rocket into the Top 50 after just one song truly shows you how good Fast Car is. Fast Car by Jonas Blue, takes the old, sad (although very good) version of this song and revamps it. Jonas Blue still is able to maintain the sense of gloominess and mystery that the lyrics hold, but speeds up the pace and adds a nice tropical house drop to the song. Also, Dakota comes in and adds her own new and beautiful rendition of the old song lyrics. The combination of the slow pace, and fast drop makes the song very catchy and appealing to all styles. As Rich Homie Quan says, this song "makes you feel some type a way"
