Off to China
Tomorrow morning I'll be heading to China for a few weeks where I'll be teaching English in Wuhan. Most of you don't know this, but when I'm not writing songs and playing shows, I'm teaching English. Over the years I've lived and taught in China, Germany, and Turkey, plus I studied in Poland as well.
No matter where I go I usually end up playing music along the way, and so I'll likely find a guitar and play when I'm in China. I hope to be able to post about my travels while I'm there, but I hear it's a little difficult to access Steemit in China, so we'll find out!
Above is a 2006 picture of me playing with a band in Tianjin, China in a festival at the school where I taught, and below is a video from 2016 where I played harmonica with a band in Erzurum, Turkey.
Thanks again for your support everyone, and I'll see you on the other side!
Good luck on your travels Dan, and thanks for sharing so much fabulous music with us all here, we will miss your quality sounds.
Thank you @kryptoe. I'm so glad to have discovered your music here!
That is very kind of you.
On the road! Looking forward to your stories when you return, and getting some collaborations in.
Yes me too! Let's plan on getting together in late May/early June.
Hey, I lived in China for about four years now. You'll have access to Steemit though it won't possess the same speed. You can still play your guitar often, people will enjoy it. Be warned though, Chinese changed a lot from when you last went there - in both good and bad. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on that.
This is good to know! Thanks!
