Music with my Family 🎶
Family Music and Communal Music are Healing to the Soul
Photo: left to right...Naiman (me), Aislin (my neice), Marty Rigby (dad)
My dad, Marty Rigby, has always been a musician and when I was 14 years old he gave me a harmonica to play. It was one of the most important days of my life. I had piano and drum lessons as a child and picked up guitar every once in a while but nothing ever stuck. Something about the harmonica hooked me and I've been playing ever since. I have been lucky enough to attend school and grow up alongside great musicians like Gary Clark Jr., Eve Monsees, Warren Hood, Phoebe Hunt and so many more. They all taught me humility, musicianship and character, but no one has had the effect on me that my father has. Playing music with my family is a blessing I will never take for granted and I wanted to share that with y'all today.
Here's some video of my father and I playing his original song.
Check out more music here and I will hopefully make and post more videos soon!
