Music of the Day 3 -- submit your favorite music
Here is today's pick of music for all of you music lovers here on Steemit. I included many different genres so you should be able to find something new that you like!
Frank Black - Los Angeles
If you've ever heard of the Pixies, Frank Black is the vocalist. He has put out a bunch of great music in his lifetime.
Pavement - Carrot Rope
This is the happiest song you will ever hear in your lifetime, but in a really good way! What does it mean? I'm still not sure... Out of all of the very strange songs Pavement came out with, they were able to come put out some great music. This song is one of my favorites by them.
Pantera - Floods
This one is for the metal heads. This song is a combination of relaxing, yet eerie soft versus and a crushing, pure heavy metal sound. Dimebag plays one of his best, most iconic solos in this song.
Led Zeppelin - When The Levee Breaks
My favorite Led Zep song. These guys put out a countless number of amazing songs, but this one does it for me. This is an awesome groove to just chill to.
Quicksand - Fazer
This band is good. I found out they existed several years ago and liked them ever since.
Heart - Magic Man
This classic song truly rocks. Although I can't relate to the message of hooking up with a "bad boy" (straight male here), this song is still awesome. Great vocals, great music.
One Day As A Lion - "Wild International"
Take the vocalist from Rage Against the Machine and add him to the drummer from The Mars Volta. This is One Day as a Lion. They have elements of both rap and rock. It is pretty sweet.
Queens of the Stone Age - 3's & 7's
This band was formed from almost entirely ex-Kyuss members. Most people don't realize this. They even got kick started with a split album with Kyuss. I miss Kyuss, but this band is still great.
Matchbox Twenty - Push
Now, I don't want to put a bunch of crybaby, sad songs on my post, but this song is really good. Matchbox Twenty is really good to be honest; on one of their albums, half of the songs were a hit! That is pretty impressive! This song addresses the challenges of loving a girl with major trust issues. Here is some advice if that is you: just give the guy a chance, he might just love you forever!!
Chicago - 25 Or 6 To 4
This might be the most entertaining song to watch live. This song is great as it is, but the guitar solos ignite the stage every time. I've seen this song's solos done so many different ways.
Submit your favorite music in the comments! Add a description too. I will feature your song in the next post of this series along with the description and a shout-out to you! Tell me what you liked or didn't like! Peace!
I already love this song! Thanks for submitting!
They were from my 90's, living in Seattle, face down in a pool of my own vomit, white sequined jump suit phase :)
Pixies
That's a beautiful phase! Hahaha!
