My good friend and musical collaborator @stickchumpion requested the chords for the recently posted Steemit collaboration song "Drums of Heaven" (lyrics by @chapterclosed | music by @carlgnash). I think this is a terrific idea and decided to share the chords with everyone in a post.

First a few more words on the OPEN CALL FOR COLLABORATORS

When I posted the song I made an open call for collaborators to take this song and add a piece of themselves to it. I gave a few examples of musical collaboration from @buckydurddle and @yusaymon; I could have used @stickchumpion as an example of spawning amazing Steemit collaborations as well... but what I want to make clear is that even non-musicians are welcome to collaborate here. What does the song mean to you or inspire in you? Is there a short story or post lurking in there that you could write? Is there an image or visual from the song that could inspire a piece of art? Open yourself up to inspiration when you listen to this song and if something strikes you, please share what you create! Both @chapterclosed and myself are very excited to see our work transform and inspire and take on a life of its own. Drums of Heaven - Guitar Chords

Chords used - this is a dead simple three chord song, perfect for even beginning guitarists!

Strumming

I used a few different strumming patterns here but the main one is a bass string strike (whatever the lowest note of the current chord voicing is) followed by a double strum of the high strings, with this pattern repeating. When this strum is used on the E chord the bass note alternates between the open E string and the A string 2nd fret (B note). When this strum is used on the Asus2 and D chords the bass note stays the same (open A for Asus2 - open D for Dsus2). I am not noting changes in strumming patterns below but I am noting the rhythmic notes in places when I was tapping on the guitar body as a percussion instrument.
