[Behind the scenes] Smodi - KINGDOM OF DAWN - indie short film festival music video shooting (part 1)

The project I've been working on for about 2 years now. It feels like an eternity already.
I have the roles of the: producer, screenwriter, actor, casting director, pr, manager, musician... With other words, I'm the boss. Hehe. But we also have an other boss, Tadej Ošlovnik, our "house" film direcor.

On the upper photo you can see Karin Rošker the photographer, asistent Mihec and Mojca Kamnik the producer joined in action under UK 101 records colors.

It has already been a year since we recorded the video material for the upcoming single named "Kingdom of Dawn" by the artist Smodi (le moi).

It has been quite an experience. I'm a little sad I didn't know about Steemit a year ago, I could have written a fresh report. Now the memories are already a bit "shady". :) Nevertheless...

I wanted to do this scenario where the combined arts of film and music would intertwine on a even deeper level then seen on a common basis.
We've shot it in three sunny days, 9. - 11. 7. 2016 around the Carinthian towns of Dravograd, Slovenj Gradec and Trbonje, Slovenia.
I had the wish to make a video of a love story shown from three different time spans.
In one occasion I would get latex make up to make me look more "ripe". :)

The video is in post production now, under the precise eye of the director Tadej Ošlovnik. We're doing our best to make it to the Shots - International Independent Short Film Festival selection and hope for some nice results in the film festival circles. We'll see what comes up.

The music part on the other hand has evolved and serves as a foundation to form a new band, which is slowly taking its form... We'll see what time brings.
