Taga village is located in the eastern part of Cluj County, 65 km away from Cluj Napoca and 18 km away from Gherla.The commune of Ţaga is made up of 4 administrative villages:Santioana ,Nasal Santejude and Santejude Vale,with a total population of 2075 people.
Has been transformed into a beautiful ethnographic museum.
The transformation into the museum was achieved by preserving all the original interior and exterior architectural details of the building, as well as the interior objects.
The Taga Ethnographic Museum is built of stone, wood and earth. The soles of the house are built on a stone base with carved woodcutter with traditional Romanian motifs, the walls of considerable thickness are built of earth and have a specific color for the area and the roof is dressed in cane bells.
The peasant house seems to be a story building, through the architectural details kept inside, which lead us to our dear grandparents. The interior features: old furniture, traditional home-made household items, popular costume pieces, wipes, verniers, sheets, tablecloths, blankets, ceramic and wooden pots, icons, etc.
Also in the annexes of the household there are other valuable objects such as: "car-plug", "loom", "loch", "basket", etc.
Through the museum, we try to highlight the history and traditions of the Taga commune, so precious but somewhat neglected in recent times.
