#VASE DEDICATED TO SILVANUS , GOD OF THE WOODS: FIRST CENTURY AD
The Vase is located inside the Diocleziano musem , Rome.
The bowl is decorated with plant flourishes: on one side grapevine with a wolf mauling a sheep: and on the other side a pine branch, the god Pan, a wolf and a billy goat.
The gift to Silvanus, the god of the woods, was offered by Q. Caecilius Amandus, scribe librarius quaetorius, and by Q. Tullius Amandus.
