You mentioned it already, but there would be common law courts with powers. They just wouldn't have a monopoly. Friends and family of the victim would almost certainly seek justice.

Sure, refuse to cooperate with the court. Then lose protection within it. Now good luck when you are victimized.

As a PI too I agree that the entire process can and should be privatized.
