Mundane Art - Handles & Knobs by @kus-knee
Yesterday @kus-knee started the Round 12 of Mundane as an Art contest . This time the subject is door Handle and Knobs. The details of the contest can be viewed here
@kus-knee sir, Here is my entry for the contest. A door from a Hindu family of India.
This is the original pictures of the doors with handle in the form of Iron chain we call it "Sikkad".
The door is made up of wooden plank and is more than 50 years old. Thete is no handle or knob on the door , however the Iron chain acts as both.
To put the lock on the door, the Chain were put on the hook above the door which is fixed on the wall. The original door looks like as below image
The Chain fixed to the door is used as handle to pull or push the door. The Iron chain is made up of strong iron and hard to break and hence safety guranteed.
To lock the door we need to put the Sikkad into the hook and to open the door we need to pull the Sikkad from the hook.
@kus-knee sir hope you find the entry interesting as well as unique. Although, the entry is for 'handle & knobs', our old doors were like this only You will surprised to know that the door still exist at my home and still in use.
Hopefully, you will consider my post for the Mundane Art contest entry Round 12.
