The Mundane as Art Round Nine. Moss and Lichen
I am pleased to show that @kus-knee is right about the moss and lichen.
They are not ugly and we all can prove that by showing our pictures.
I must admit that I don't know if the small patches on my images are moss or lichen. In any case they were almost hidden on the ground and surrounded by grass and dirt and small snails.
Early in the morning the frost bites and one of the images was taken at that time. Later the sun was shining and the light brought the picture different meaning.
It was a difficult choice which picture to present in the contest - the frozen or the sunny.
One is dark but yet kind of magical, the other is bright and vivid. Interesting how the moss (or lichen) looks like so close.
Frozen I choose.
But I would love to hear what you think. Which picture do you like more? Feel free to comment.

It's really beautiful. Moss has such a rich and deep green color.
Thank you for your nice words.
It is a challenge to bring the beauty from the mudane objects and I quite like it.
