Review of WhatRUat show with @buckydurddle and @doghaus

Its 1am CET+1 where I am, that time in the morning when we have one eye open, and the thought of our bed is comforting to us, where we can settle down into a gentle slumber.

However there is something else you can think of doing on a Tuesday evening, around 10pm UTC, where you can tune in to WhatRUat with hosts Buckydurddle and Doghause.

This is a time when only the most special of people will hop on and listen to these guys for two hours, of all I can really say would be mayhem of madness on the block chain.

For a radio show to be good it needs to tick all the boxes, we have two great hosts who bounce off each other, who have known each other for a significant amount of time.
Based in Newfoundland Canada, of affectionately known as Newfies by their fellow Canadians.

The shows excellent content, because of it's originality and creativity, with the use of words that are not in your every day dictionary. The inclusion of original music and a huge selection of instruments. Guitar, harmonica, violin and more...

A show with its own vocabulary.

Would you believe it yes a show with its own vocabulary, this is so specific and original. Using such words like Chach which is probably the most popular word they use, that the audience has now adopted it also.

No not that Chach, that's Chachi.

Credit Wikipedia

In order to use the word Chach in a sentence, use it in place of any noun. For example, Oh dear I have lost my Chach, or ... Can you help me find my Chach?

So you take a show, and then you look at a regular line up and throw it out of the window.

Which is exactly what Bucky and Doghaus have done to their own show, and it really works. I applaud them on the recognition of looking extra hard for newbies in the show, and to make them feel honoured and welcome.

You are almost certain that if you are new an honorary theme tune will be made and sang in your honour, although should it be sang again another week it may not necessarily be the same.

Non deliberate errors work even better.

The first 20 minutes of the show was a little strange, I have listened to the show a few times now, but when Bucky and Doghaus were typing in chat regarding what they were talking about, it did not tie up with what was being heard on the stream.

It would seem that inadvertently a recording was playing out instead of live, I believe the intention of the show, was to play some songs and talk about some of the key things that makes their show so special. Kind of a show special something different to what they normally do.

However the error was welcomed and it was very funny which mishaps work so well on the show, because it is entirely unscripted. Which is what makes the show so amazing to listen to because literally you don't know what is going to happen next.

You can listen to the show on MSPWaves Pal Network which was the method I listened to last night, as much as I wanted to stay for the entire show I could only listen for an hour because it finishes at 3am my time which is midnight UTC.

I do believe that the shows are recorded, im not sure if they are always shared, it would be good to get clarity on that. Because to be able to listen on catch up would be great, as much as I would love to stay up and listen the entire way through its not always possible.

But either way, WhatRUat show is incomparable to any other show on the streams currently, even if the format never changed in the weekly shows, there is more than enough spontaneity going on which can keep you laughing all week.

So Rip up the Rule book, step into the unknown and be sure to tune in for the next show, which is 99% guaranteed to put a smile on your face or even more so it could have you crying with laughter.

You can listen to WhatRUat Tuesdays at 10pm UTC over on Pal Discord, for further information you can also check in with @buckydurddle or @doghaus. Who post regular updates about the show.
