The Minnow Support Project is pleased to present "Sliderfest" brought to you by The Shane & Muxxy Show!

At the Minnow Support Project we recognise the frustration many newcomers face when they first arrive at Steemit. There is plenty of worthy content they feel like upvoting to show their appreciation. After the changes to the voting system in Hardfork 19 users only get ten 100% upvotes to hand out each day before it starts to affect their voting power significantly. Only once they reach the level of 500 Steem Power do they get a vote slider, like this one:

Just by sliding it to 10% you can make 100 upvotes a day before it affects your voting power. Yes, the rewards granted are lower, but you are free to vote on many more posts to show your support. It allows minnows more social interactions, which are crucial for growth, without obliterating their voting power.

A new initiative by the Minnow Support Project lead by @gmuxx and @swelker101 is to offer 2 sliderless _listeners to the Shane and Muxxy Show a chance to win delegation in order to get one. On each show we will assign a number to each participating listener and then leave it to chance by rolling dice in the chat channel. Whatever numbers are rolled, the corresponding participants will each win 500 SP delegation in order to get their slider. Eg. if a 6 and then a 14 are rolled, players number 6 and 14 will win. This will stay in their wallets for 4 weeks, offering the chance to grow curation rewards and increase their own SP. They should also be able to earn enough steem to lease further delegations afterwards, should they wish to. To qualify for entry to the draw, you must have 400 SP or less in your wallet and be in the MSPwaves audience channel HERE, to be assigned a number during the show.

Listeners with over 400 SP may participate by picking a user with less than 400 SP and try to win delegation on their behalf. This initiative is inclusive of everyone on Steemit, not just MinnowSupportProject members.

The payouts from posts regarding Sliderfest will pay for the delegations. We are not asking for donations, pledges or delegations. The delegations will be purchased through @minnowbooster brought to you by Minnow Support Project Witness @thecryptodrive and fledgling witness @reggaemuffin.

@minnowsupport will cover this venture with proceeds earned from post regarding this and eventually hand off the project completely to @gmuxx and @swelker101 (two senior moderators in the Minnow Support Project).

The requests for delegations will initially be handled from the official @minnowsupport account with hope that it too will be handed over to @gmuxx and @swelker101.

@bex-dk is our guinea pig and has been awarded a 500 SP delegation today, and thus has her vote slider. We are running an experiment to see how this delegation affects her voting patterns and earnings over the next four weeks.
