Daily Movie Recommendation,Genre- Mystery

The requested genre for today was made by @bluemist who asked for the mystery genre and my recommendation is The Handmaiden (2016) which is among the best movies which I have seen from last year and no wonder that i liked so much the movie because the director is Chan-wook Park which is known for Oldboy (2003) which for me is a masterpiece, Thirst (2009) which is among the best horror movies about vampires from what I've seen, Stoker (2013) a good film but it did not meet my expectations, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002), J.S.A.: Joint Security Area (2000), Lady Vengeance (2005) movies which I want to see soon.
Ever since I saw the trailer of the movie I was impatient to see it due to the fact that the trailer does not show anything and let everything be a mystery and makes the spectator be curious and watchful during the movie.
Chan-wook Park is among the most beloved directors due to its unique style and almost always surprises you with something in his films and his most beloved film is Oldboy (2003) which as I said above is his masterpiece so far.
Let's get started and see why I liked this movie so much and I'll explain a few things about it.

The story begins with Sook-Hee(Tae-ri Kim) who will be hired as a handmaiden to a Japanese heiress Lady Hideko(Min-hee Kim) about which you will find more and more while you seeing the movie.
One of the strengths of this film are the costumes which totally amazed me and I am very upset that this film has not even been nominated for Golden Globe or Academy Award which for me no longer have such a great importance seeing enormous mistakes every year.

A thing I liked again is that not just the story is mysterious, also the characters are and you often do not know what to expect from them and the story goes so much that you do not know how it will end.

I can say about the movie that is a erotic mystery thriller which despite the erotic scenes has an excellent soundtrack and I recommend you to listen My Tamako, my Sookee music composed by Jo Yeong-wook which is the masterpiece of 2016 and it is shameful that this song was not nominated for an Golden Globe or Academy Award.
I have to rewatch this movie at least once to decide whether or not it is a masterpiece and until then I recommend you to see it and I assure you that you will not regret it.
