1001 movies before I die: A Throw of Dice (Review)
If you saw my post about thee book "1001 movies you must see before you die". You'll know that I am atempting to watch all 1001 movies. This is my review of A Throw of Dice (movie #45)
A Throw of Dice
What I liked most about this movie was it's setting. Where it was shot. This movie was filmed entierly on location in India and that's where the it shines. Everything from the animals, the scenery and the buildings. It is all very beautiful to look at and it sets the scene for a nice film.
The story works very well with the setting their in. It's about King Sohat trying to kill his younger cousin Ranjit and take over his kingdom. I don't have much problem with this story other than in the beginning when one of Sohat's henchmen shoots Ranjit with a poisoned arrow. They basically swept the incident under the rug, to me it seemed weird that they didn't question his loyalty one bit. Other than that I have no real issue with the story.
Score: 6/10
