Wonder Woman Movie Review
The story of the sensational Wonder Woman movie is basically simple. As the princess of the Amazon, Diana has been trained to be an unbeatable warrior. She grew up in an isolated paradise, and decides to leave home when the pilot of a plane crash talks to her about the major problems facing the outside world. Determined to stop the threat, she becomes involved in an epic war while discovering the strength of her powers, and her destiny. The action is intense, and the battles will have movie goers on the edges of their seats.
The movie has been beautifully cast with Gal Gadot portraying a tough, yet heartwarming Diana, Chris Pine as the distinguished Steve Trevor, and amazing characters played by Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Said Taghmaoui, Ewan Bremmer, Eugene Brave Rock, Lucy Davis, Elena Anaya, Lily Aspell, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Ann Wolfe, and Ann Ogbomo.
The movie begins on the island of Themyscira in The Amazon. While a young Diana trains, and becomes the toughest warrior on the island, old fans will root for their hero, and new fans will discover someone new to cheer for. Wonder Woman takes place during World War I, and Danny Hudson is perfect as the evil General. The movie is charming, nostalgic, and the interactions between the cast has a natural flow. The costumes are the perfect accent to the explosive action, armed combat, and exciting fighting. Hollywood has brought back a female superhero who is charming and riveting.
Gal Gadot portrays a character with loyalty, empathy, determination, and strength. The character evolves throughout the movie, beginning as naïve, sweet, and gentle. She shows intensity in her quest to establish peace by conquering the evil forces, and watching her fight is a lot fun. The character is conflicted because she must learn that to establish the peace she desires, she must fight. The stunt actors perform their feats with style, and flair, and the action is excellent from start o finish.
The romance in the movie between Diana and Steve is filled with chemistry, and their first meeting is bound to be remembered in the history of Hollywood. As the characters fall for each other, the audience will be falling as well. Etta Candy is Steve’s secretary, and made for making sarcastic comments. Her delivery, and tone are the perfect comedy relief. Steve’s friends consist of a polyglot spy, an American smuggler, and a Scottish sniper. Their interactions are yet another delightful storyline to provide even more depth to the storyline.
The special effects are marvelous, and draw viewers right into the screen. Diana is personally involved to the point the battles become extremely emotional, and the Justice League is reestablished for a new millennium. This is the first female superhero to grace the silver screen in some time, and Gal Gadot was born to play Diana. Whether the viewer is looking for action, excitement, villains, special effects, or a believable superhero, Wonder Women has all the necessary components to keep viewers of all ages riveted to the screen.
Thankyou for writing the detailed review about Wonder Women. I still haven't watched it but I think I should watch it now.
The film is not distinguished by anything special. But the choreography of the female fights set perfectly, I couldn't look away from Gal Gadot, although she did not impress me in Batman vs. Superman
Thanks for the review! I didn't really care for the Wonder Woman movie so much. I enjoyed the Avengers series better. How about you?
