What The Incredibles 2 Could Be About

in #movies7 years ago (edited)

Hi movie marauders! A sequel to The Incredibles was announced in 2014, and made fans happy to see that this franchise will continue. The Incredibles 2 is set to come out June 15, 2018. The Incredibles 2 actually traded release dates with Toy Story 4 (June 21, 2019) because their production schedule has been sped up.  The actors from the last movie have not all been confirmed. According to IMDb,  Samuel L. Jackson (Frozone) and Holly Hunter (Elastigirl) are confirmed for the sequel. Sarah Vowell (Violet) and Raymond Ochoa (Dash) (Dash was voiced by Spencer Fox in the first movie) are rumored to be in this movie. Even though it is not confirmed, we do know that the entire Parr family will be returning for this movie. I am so ready to see our favorite superhero family in action again! Lets take a look at what we want in The Incredibles 2:

Villains

Sadly, the plot is kept under wraps. But there are some cool suggestions to who the villain could be. Nothing on this list has been confirmed.

~Jack-Jack~

Director/Writer Brad Bird has said that The Incredibles 2 will focus more on the Parr family, and will not be a run-of-the-mill superhero movie. This has brought up the idea that Jack-Jack could be the villain. I really don't want to see the Parrs fight against each other, but it sounds like an interesting concept. I mean, any superhero family is bound to have some internal fighting. Jack-Jack is probably the most powerful out of the Parrs because he is a shapeshifter. He also has the best people to train him to become powerful. If he goes rogue, a lot of damage could be done. If you look at Syndrome, he got triggered from just one conversation with Mr. Incredible. The same thing could happen to Jack-Jack.

~Syndrome~

I highly doubt that Syndrome is going to be the villain. The sequel would just turn into the first movie and I really want to see something new. He should be added to the list because he could pop up (you never know). If he is going to be in the second movie, he will probably not be a big role (maybe just a side villain). Maybe Syndrome is training another villain to become a big bad to fight against the Parrs. I am hoping that Syndrome is completely left out of the movie because I'd rather see a new character with new motives.

~The Underminer~

The end of The Incredibles showed us the Underminer. I don't think an entire movie is going to be based around him because it takes place years after the events of the first movie. Again, I really want to see something new and different in The Incredibles 2. Also, I think that the Underminer was put in the end of the first film to show that the Parrs are still needed after defeating Syndrome and to tease a sequel. I feel like the Underminer is not very threatening and would not be the center of the sequel. Maybe he will make an appearance in the second movie, but I really doubt it.

Frozone

We know that Frozone has been confirmed for this movie. I hope he has an even bigger role in this film because he is likeable and pretty awesome. Since the sequel is taking place years after, maybe even Frozone has a child. That would be pretty cool to have another superhero family.

I love Frozone because it is nice to have other superheros that aren't the Parrs. Also, Frozone's brotherly relationship with Mr. Incredible is super cute. I'm sure that Frozone has been helping out the Parrs with the countless villains that have been attacking the city. Now that he is fighting bad guys again, his wife is probably not putting away his supersuit as much!

The Parrs

The Parrs are the main characters of these films. With the sequel taking place years later, I am very interested to see how the Parrs have been battling normal life and superhero life. Also, we know that Violet got a boyfriend at the end of the movie (Tony). How has that been and does he know about her powers? The only thing we know about The Incredibles 2 is that it is going to focus a lot on the Parrs' family life.

Does Mr. and Mrs. Incredible train them everyday? I am sure that Bob and Helen are not following the rule of completely hiding their powers. Maybe because of The Incredibles taking down Syndrome, other superheroes have been able to come back and fight again. There are so many unanswered questions about how their life has been. I wish we knew something about the plot of the sequel, but we will have to wait for a trailer.
