Even though i'm yet to watch this movie i think i'm in love . The hype and the response from my fellow Ghanains when it was premiered seven days ago is Awesome. And Oh this amazingly annoying friend @skodie had to rub it on our faces like that...

...AND NOW... Talkin about the "Wakanda Outfit " @skodie , i bet you went in some simple shirt and shorts.

Have you also noticed the piece of "kente" cloth in almost all the pictures? Fellow Ghanaian steemians would relate.😀

These are just few of the pictures taken last week during the premiere of the movie [BLACK PANTHER ]

The Question now is, What is it about the movie that has caught the genuine attention of Ghanains and Africans if i should be more specific. Not to forget making it it a worlwide hit?

@Skodie a movie freak , reading Bsc Mech engineering in the University of Energy Said; "It is the first full on African film.with the African language and all.
There has never been anything of the sort. In addition, It was trolled by racists. Tomato meter gave it a rating of 97% of positive reviews . The 2% were from racists.
The movie portrayed an African country richer and more developed than any other place in the world. And You can understand where the racism would spring from.
It also brought alive to screens the imagination and prayers of some to see an all African movie made and accepted by Hollywood about Africans. And Even though it wasn't acted in Africa, it is satisfying .
I can say about 60% or more of the hype the movie got since the announcement of it's release had been by blacks. Africans... That's why it became a big deal. On the movie premiere world wide, 15th, blacks wore their traditional attires to see the movie... And they were proud about it.
This is the first time, anything of this sort happened. Basically, the movie made history
I've seen videos of people dancing African traditional dances in honour of the movie after they watched the premier "

I shouldn't give spoilers .But This could do the magic.

Official black panther trailer

Another interesting thing is the one Ghanaian element in the movie, the "kente", locally called "nwenetoma" which also means a woven cloth. This cloth signifies royalty and is worn occasionally ( important times )

The king of Wakanda adorned with the kente sash

And oh the ashanti Region in Ghana was mentioned in the movie.when an ornament was said to have been taken from Ashanti present day ghana.

In the movie, were there Ghanaian symbols as well as costumes.

Apparently Ghanains have expressed their enthusiasm pretty well regarding the gap plugged for Hollywood .and its very obvious Our pride is set on Fire!. The movie has made a history.

Hi steemians , i need help embedding videos in my post. Kindly help. Will be much appreciated thanks

another interesting take on the movie. when i saw it they really had every detail down with the clothing/art/music. i dont understand why some people are so racist about it. all i cared was that if the movie was good and this movie was awesome. steem on!

Thanks buddy ! They sure did a good job 😊

Well this is definitely the next movie on my list, the hype's really gotten to me and word is, the movie is worth the hype ,so I'm patiently waiting .

Me too. . I can't wait.

You just had to out me like that didn't you? But on a serious note, the movie lived up to it's hype and wasn't found wanting in clearly being African, from the language, dressing and mentions of places in Africa. Spoiler Alert: At a point, the supposed forest hideout of the Buku Haram was mentioned. (Not going to mention the scene, find it on your own).

Even though the plot was a bit predictable to me, (maybe not to you), the journey was definitely worth it. Africans will always stand behind anything African.

I believe this is a huge step forward for the black community especially in filmmaking. Great write-up

Thanks. I'm waiting patiently for it.. 😊
