What I think Marvel's Venom SHOULD be.
As far as talks and the script have confirmed, Tom Hardy's Venom will in fact be the character Eddie Brock.
Understandably Eddie is the definitive Venom for most fans however I, myself would much rather see Flash Thompson's Agent Venom on the big screen as more of an espionage thriller much akin to The Winter Soldier film.
In a perfect world it would be directed by the Russo brothers as well and focus on a more militarized anti-hero, someone they send in who might not make it back, someone willing to do the shady things Captain America mightn't agree with but for the good of mankind.
No need for a backstory for the Symbiote either, it's from a rock that fell from outer space a few years ago around the same time the Chitauri invaded. In a world of Thunder Gods, Hulks and Infinity Gauntlets the weird and mysterious hardly needs much explaining almost the same way they gave Spiderman his introduction.
Injured marine+ Experimental program+ Alien Symbiote Super Powers+ Military Espionage Thriller= Big Win in my opinion.
