Hollywood just went a step further. haha. //Pokemon live action movie//

For a lot of time there have been rumors, and kids of all ages from 5 to 35 have talked about it...

"How cool would a live-action Pokemon movie be".

With the craze few years ago with the Pokemon mobile game it was just a matter of time until they did something like this.
And honestly, being a 29 year old child i cant wait. :D

Trailer:

The trailer makes the movie look competent and the actors seem pretty decent.
The actor playing the main human character ive seen in a few things, though i cant place him, but he seems to be doing well and Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu i think is a brilliant choice.
We all know what Ryan can do and somehow having Deadpool playing Pikachu works. haha
It makes me think they are trying to stretch their rating towards "mature" a bit.

I always wondered how they would do the story for a live action movie. Will it be just a battle royale type of thing, tournaments with everything revolving around fighting, adversity and friendship. A Rocky style Pokemon movie.
.... Because that would NOT work.

The reason i think this might work, with a crime, detective story, is that it seems to not take itself too seriously. Ryan Reynolds is the king of "dont take this seriously" which is why i think they picked him.
The suspension of disbelief is extremely important in movies like this. The more ridiculous the premise, the less serious you can make your movie
You cant take Nolan and tell him to do with Pokemon what he did with "The Dark Knight". haha. That would look crazy.

But something fun that clearly leans on the funny side i think could work. Just looking at the trailer (doesnt mean the movie will be any good) it seems that they struck a line pretty well to provide kids something to enjoy and older Pokemon fans to relive the nostalgia.

Yes, this is a pokemon movie and yes, im almost 30 years old, but i have to say im excited for this.....

I give this trailer a "Pika Pika/10"
