I understand what you are saying and half of me agrees with you because it does to a degree destroy the mystery and eeriness of the character, but the other half of me (the part that loves to delve into the psychology of things) was quite excited to see the movie after Dave showed me the trailer the other day. I suppose, like with most things - there will be a mixed basket of opinion on this one...
