Die Reise mit dem Vater/That Trip We Took with Dad
Stille Wasser/Silent River
Die Tage sind die rumänische Kultur Tage in München und weil wir beide aus Rumänien kommen und in München wohnen haben hier teilgenommen. Heute waren zwei Filme vorgeführt die den Drehbuch und Regie von einer Rumänin, Anca Miruna Lăzărescu die seit 1990 in Deutschland lebt und auch die Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München absolviert hat.
Das Abend fing mit dem Kurzfilm Stille Wasser an. Es war auch das Werk für die Diplomarbeit von Anca Miruna Lăzărescu. Dieser Kurzfilm wurde bei über 300 Filmfestivale vorgeführt und hat über 80 Preise gewonnen. Es ist die Geschichte von zwei Männer, ein Rumäne und ein Deutscher, die aus den kommunistischen Rumänien nach Deutschland fliehen wollen. Es zeigt die Planung, die Spannung, ihre Angst und die dramatische Flucht.
Das Hauptfilm des Abends war Die Reise mit dem Vater. Wollte den Film unbedingt sehen weil da spielen auch viele bekannte von uns und es zeigt die 2 Städte die ich Heimatstädte nenne. Eins ist Arad in Rumänien wo wir beide geboren worden sind und die zweite Stadt ist München wo wir jetzt leben. Der Film wurde in beide Städte gedreht weil die Straßen in Rumänien konnte ich alle erkennen und der Altstadt Ring Tunnel in München kann man nicht verwechseln.
Der Film spielt in 1968 und ist nach einer wahren Geschichte. Das ganze geschieht um die Ereignisse in Prag wo die Ostblock Länder gegen den Aufstand der Tschechen blutig mit Panzern eingegangen sind. Rumänien war das Ostblock Land was sich direkt gegen die Intervention äußerte und zu dem Zeitpunkt ein gleichen Schicksal drohte. Die Hauptcharaktere aus dem Film reisen von Arad nach Dresden, aber werden in Konzentrierungs Lagern(in den Stasi Dokumente ist der Name genau so geschrieben) gehalten. Weil Rumänien sich gegen die Sowjetunion gestellt hat und sich für die Tschechoslowakei stand nahm wurden alle Reisende als gefährlich betrachtet. Die rumänische Botschaft hat geregelt das alle nach Hause kommen könnten. Es gab zwei Möglichkeiten, weil durch die Tschechoslowakei konnte man nicht, entweder durch die Luft oder die Sowjetunion, was für die Zeiten als Selbstmord galt. Niemand wollte sein Auto in der DDR lassen. Dann hat man ein Kompromiss gefunden über die BRD und Österreich, also durch den freien Westen. Die sind auch nach München angekommen wo sich eine komplett andere Welt eröffnet hat.
Der Film ist voller Humor obwohl es sehr traurig ist. Es zeigt die Naivität des Westens und die härte des Ostens.
Wurde beide Filme empfehlen.

The days are the Romanian culture days in Munich and because we both come from Romania and live in Munich we have participated here. Today two films were screened and directed by a Romanian, Anca Miruna Lăzărescu, who has been living in Germany since 1990 and also graduated from the University of Television and Film Munich.
The evening started with the short film Silent River. It was also the work for the diploma thesis of Anca Miruna Lăzărescu. This short film was screened at over 300 film festivals and has won over 80 awards. It is the story of two men, a Romanian and a German, who want to flee to Germany from communist Romania. It shows the planning, the tension, the fear and the dramatic escape.
The main movie of the evening was That Trip We Took with Dad. Wanted to see the movie because there are many known faces and friends of us and it shows the 2 cities I call hometowns. One is Arad in Romania where we both were born and the second city is Munich where we live now. The film was filmed in both cities. I know this because I could recognize all the streets in Romania and the old town ring tunnel in Munich can not be mistaken.
The film is set in 1968 and is writen after a true story. All this happens around the events in Prague where the Eastern Bloc Countrie invaded Czechoslovakia with tanks against the rebellion of the Czechs and replenished it with a lot of blood. Romania was the Eastern bloc country which spoke directly against the intervention and was threatened at the time with a similar fate. The main characters from the film travel from Arad to Dresden, but are kept in a concentration camps (in the Stasi documents the name is written just like that). Because Romania opposed the Soviet Union and stood for Czechoslovakia, all travelers were considered dangerous. The Romanian Embassy has decided that everyone could come home. There were two possibilities, because through Czechoslovakia it was not possible, either through the air or the Soviet Union, driving through the Soviet Union equalled like a suicide at that time. Nobody wanted to leave his car in the GDR. Then a compromise was found with the road back over FRG and Austria, which was the free West and it was very hard for someone to leave the East bloc states being from the East bloc. They have arrived in Munich where a completely different world has opened up, afree one and full of abundence.
The movie is full of humor though it is very sad. It shows the naivety of the West and the harshness of the East.

Schöne Trailer, ich mag solche Filme sehr. Ich hoffe Ihr hattet einen schönen Abend bei dem rumänischen Kultur Tag in München.
Es war ein gutes Abend. Die Drehbuchautorin war da für eine Q&A Session. Es ist interessant zu hören wie die Filmindustrie in Deutschland funktioniert.
