Thank you @tattoodjay! :-)
Haven't seen Augustine steam in a long
time now, but Redoubt is still puffing little
steam clouds now and then. Seen some
the other day while in town. Sometimes
I check it out on the live cams.
Back home in NZ we have a few that steam now and again I am fascinated by them
Back in the 70s I was doing Rick climbing on one of ours when it had a small eruption nothing too dangerous but it was an adrenaline rush for sure
Beautiful shots @shasta! It seems like all your mountains are volcanoes... and of course, it's pretty much the same down here. I've been reading a little about the Yellowstone super-volcano which scares the hell out of me! Here's hoping the Pacific Ring Of Fire stays doesn't heat up too much!
Thanks for posting in Mountain Monday! Resteemed :)
Thank you @keithboone! :-)
That geology and astronomy is full of
amazing action, makes for some beautiful
places. The Russian traps, now those were
some humdingers! Along with Tonga, Tambora,
Long valley, Krakatau, oh my.
Continents sliding around like children's toys... I think the map looks pretty good right now. I vote for having all that movement stop for a hundred years or so.
Howdy shasta! wow, I had no idea that Alaska was covered with volcanoes! what happens if they start erupting and waking up? Do you have plans to get out of there fast?
howdy today shasta! "drone suits!" lol. the other day I saw a drone with seats in it and people were riding around in it so I guess that might be common soon. You guys might need one, I hope you never do but it's good to be prepared!
Good, nice pics!
Thank you @aasanka! :-)
Beautiful!
Thank you @nat-expressions! :-)
What gorgeous shots of the Volcano is it still active?

Longer more detailed version.

Howdy today shasta! very interesting photos. Ya'll have enough mountains and volcanoes up there? lol.
Good evening @janton! :-)
Oh there is many many more!
There is one further down the line called
Katmai volcano and the valley of ten thousand smokes!
Its not to far from Augustine as the eagle flies.
