my late grandfather used to say this to me when I was a kid:
"You can't learn until you've made a mistake... however, if you keep repeating the same mistakes in your life, that means you don't want to learn."

Yes.. and since then I have paid a lot of heed to these few words.. has helped me a lot in my life so far :)
