TAKE A CHANCE TODAY—MAKE THAT DREAM COME TRUE

in #motivation6 years ago (edited)

Hello, Happy Sunday.
So I was ruminating on a questions someone asked me today.
He said,

“What are your plans for the future?
Do you just want to end up wherever the wind takes you?
Or are you among those who work with the principles of fate?

These questions got to me, they were questions that didn't require immediate answers, questions that encourage a person to trace his or her steps.

It is safe to say that many believe in fate, they say ‘The future isn't ours to see’ and they go further by saying ‘What's going to be will be and there's nothing, absolutely nothing anybody can do about it’.
One thing I have come to ascertain is that those who believe in such, actually desire a positive outcome from life but at the end of it all, the result is disheartening.

Often times, we see people who are able to give a pellucid picture of what they'll become in the next couple of years and they end up achieving it, despite challenges. Other times, you see people who can show you how they want their future to be, but they end up elapsing the years because they lacked the drive to preserve and see their future come into being. Also, there are the ones that can't envisage how the future will be, who end up not achieving anything. So it’s not a game of chance, it’s a game of vision, hard work, and perseverance. Miss any of this and the chances of having a successful future become slimmer.

A quite popular senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ben Bruce Murray who owns Silverbird Group Company, didn't just fold his arms and believe fate will definitely pave way for him. He was once the Director General of the Nigerian Authority (NTA), and unlike his predecessors, he didn't just lavish his income awaiting retirement benefits in his luxurious house, rather he funded it into his passion.

The Business tycoon and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, is the perfect example of vision, hard work, and perseverance. He had his ideas, the vision, but finance became a trammel for him. He went to those who could help him pit financially but they turned him down. He took the bold step of going to his uncle, Dan Tete, who applauded his idea but made him work under him for some years to get the money. Dangote worked for him and today, his name is being heard all over. You don’t see Dan Tete listed as Africa’s richest man. He certainly had the wealth to finance Dangote, so why isn’t he on the Forbes list.

Remember, Vision, Hard work, and Perseverance.

Miss one and that’s the first step to settling for 2nd best. You see, Dangote didn't decide to continue working for his uncle once he had what he came for, he didn't have the thoughts of keeping the job permanently since a token was coming out of it, he didn't decide to give up on his ideas, he didn't allow his challenges and limitations get the best of him. He persevered while working hard to see his vision become a reality.

Today, I forward these same questions to you,

What are your plans for the future?
Do you want to end up wherever the wind takes you?
Do you aspire to become your own boss or you just want to remain an employee?
Are you a believer of fate?
Are you the type that just folds his or her arms waiting for that dream to suddenly become a reality?
Do you have brilliant ideas only to end up allowing manacles expunge them before they unfold?

I don't know what your constraints are, I don't know what brilliant ideas you have, I don't know what your fears may be, I don't know if you're waiting for the perfect time because there's no such thing as the perfect time.
The time to take action is now. Whichever category you fall into, it’s time to make moves to achieve that vision. Why not write down all you dream about your future now. Arrange them into a list, in terms of importance. Pick out each and decide how you going to work toward achieving these daily and attach a time frame to measure your progress.
By so doing, you get to control a good percentage of how your future will turn out.

If you have a job that pays well, don't get stuck and overly comfortable with it because it won't last as long as expected. To those who have the ideas and there are no means of starting up, a little drop of water they say makes a mighty ocean. You don't have to wait for the dream salary to get started, make out something no matter how small, take actions no matter the limitations, remember time waits for no one.

Also, to those who await the dream connection, know that the longer you wait, the more opportunities you fail to see by so doing. They all pass before your very eyes. Don't be lazy and repulsive to do that which you know the end is magnificent.
Don't see the limitations, don't see the failures, and don’t see the manacles, all you need to see is the success, the laughter, the smiles, the joy, and the satisfaction that awaits you at the end.

Take a chance today...

Thanks so much @stach, indeed consistency, persistency and not relenting on what you are good at is what makes a vision and dreams comes to reality..... I am highly challenge and bless by this post, thanks so much @stach

Thank you for reading... I am glad you are challenged, and I hope to see you on the Forbes list one day with that idea that you turned into reality

Great post @stach, good things does not come cheap. You have to pay some sacrifice, and the sacrifice is hard work just as you have said. Thanks so much @ stach

Hardwork and perseverance... Thanks for reading

Wow, am blessed by this post. Thanks for sharing. No food for the lazy man. We learn to work hard to achieve our goals

It's not all about been lazy, it's about having a goal and pursuing it relentlessly... Thanks for reading

I love this so much, This relates too well with what the various speakers at the #steemjet event that held yesterday at the TETFund auditorium , University of Uyo Perm Site, Uyo, talked about.
One of the speakers who happen not to be on steemit but is a big time cryptorian said we all have what it takes to make money but some people want someone to give them the capital which also will be spent in the wrong direction.
on the other hand many people venture into what just pops up not because they wanna make impact but they feel it's just starting so they should go in for a period of time and back out anytime.

All these balls down to the question:
"Do you just want to end up wherever the wind takes you?
Or are you among those who work with the principles of fate?"

Lets all rise to the fate of Greatness, Just like His Excellency Udom Emmanuel the Governor of Akwa Ibom state will say.
Prove our President Wrong by "Not being lazy youths"
ONE LOVE

It really boils down to that, because no vision equals no concrete destination.

You're welcome Boss

It's laziness that forces one to accept the wrong fate.

Nothing would be if we don't let them be... Nothing can be achieved by a mere wishing, it can only happen when we apply action.

I beg to differ, It's frustration, not laziness... Because alot of hardworking people have accepted their fate, they was no result maybe because there was no vision, or they couldn't persevere to the end

I so much love your point of view, but not all frustrated people are hardworking, am I correct?

Both are responsible, some as a result of laziness and some as a result of frustration like you suggested.

Hug......

Also don't forget that not all the lazy people are doing bad.. Some have achieved quite a lot
👍👍👍

Sure, just like not all with good visions were able to accomplish all too... Smile

Hard work pays with God's blessings

That's true, but I don't believe it entirely, because if it's all about hardwork there are those who work the hardest doing manual labor and end up with nothing. A vision is required.

because if it's all about hardwork there are those who work the hardest doing manual labor and end up with nothing. A vision is required.

You are very correct, it is easy to work so hard without getting the result if their is no vision
