Just like the much known common slogan that says “It’s not be over until it is over “. I will personally agree with this saying because that has been the story of my life. It will only be over for you all because you agree with the society opinion or your critics chants that you cannot make anything good out of your life.

Those that are stagnant are like that due to the decision to accept what the world has called them to be. Even, if you experience a sort of failure in a particular aspect of your life or assignment.
The real failure in you is the moment you refuse to attempt to try again. Just like a crawling baby who falls down after trying to learn to take some steps, such baby will never walk by not trying again. You just have to keep doing it until you hit your target.

An adage from the Yoruba speaking tribe in Nigeria says “when the cooking pot (Ikoko) is cooking some Yam nobody will know, but when the mortal (Odo) is now pounding it, that is when everyone will take notice of what is happening”.
That is exactly what some of us needed to do in order to hit our target. Just like no one recognizes you now and later they tend to acknowledge your presence only because you refuse to stop even when you fail at some point.

Let us look at the story of the famous inventor THOMAS ALVA EDISON as a case study.

<One night of Dec 9th, 1914, the industries of Thomas Edison gave in to an inferno. The loss exceeded to $52 million along with the vast majority of Thomas Edison’s work. Remember that Thomas Edison was an American investor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced lives around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera and a long lasting practical electric light bulb.

As at the time of this inferno, Edison was insured for only $238 because the building were constructed with concrete and thought to be fire proof. Now, at the 67 years of age, He watched his life work go up in flames. The next morning after the fire was out; Edison surveyed the wreckage of his dreams of hope. As he did so he said

“There is a great value in disaster. All our mistakes are burnt up. Thank God we can start afresh”.

Three (3) weeks later Thomas Edison Industries produced the first phonograph. That is a serious courage shown there by Thomas. Unlike Edison, many of us would have given up completely. We would rather mourn our loss and wait for people to sympathize with us. In fact, others would even contemplate suicide>.

But he chose to see the disaster as an opportunity to start again and also start something new with a difference. He considered the setback a stepping stone to greatness.

When you make a mistake, don’t dwell on it for too long before you move on. You might still need to make that mistake several times before you will finally get the result you are looking for.

Starting it again sometimes is like YOU ARE BEING GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO THAT THING IN A WAY YOU NEVER THOUGHT IT COULD BE DONE AGAIN.

So, START AGAIN because what lies ahead is better than what you are holding on to.
