C'mon peepz, don't lose your posting mojo when the market is down!

in #motivation6 years ago

And yes, first start with admitting that you have less posting motivation when the market is down, because it is true :)

We all still have in mind those fantastic motivating days for us content creators in December/ January when the Steemprice was high, and the SBD price was even higher and mountains were made with all posts.

But what we also all know, is when something sounds too good to be true, it probably is to good to be true.

Which means that markets do not stay high forever, it is a market. It fluctuates. And having the SBD price closer to $1 is better for Steem in the end, but also less rewarding for us in a short term vision.

Think in the bigger picture and also think, how bad do you want it??

Because actually now is your time to shine. And I will expain you why.

Have you noticed less users are active at this moment then a a couple of weeks back? Good, this will mean they will most likely find your post sooner. A small pool to fish from, is an easier catch.

Now is the time to spread your name or your brand or what you stand for. So by the time all of these sleeping accounts wake up from their hibernation, you will have yourself in the picture and found overpoored with resteems and upvotes.

A next postitive thing coming from a smaller fishing pool

Is also having a bigger piece of the rewards pool. Have you noticed that your SP rewards are slightly increased? That is because less users are eating from the reward pool, so that means more for us fishies to eat!

It is not the time to sit back and wait until al prices rise again, it is time to post and make a stand. Show yourself off, put yourself in the spotlight. Be active.

Steemit does not necessarily have to cost you your whole day, restrict yourself in commenting and looking for good posts for a certain amount of time every day. Make it fun, and keep putting yourself out there.

And one thing to never forget IF you are idling your account

Put on an autovoter for your favorite writers. Use Steemauto or whatever other autovoter to put in your favorite writers of your favorite votingtrails so make sure your SP is being used well. Because those writers ARE putting in the effort at the moment, even while it is fantastic weather in the summer time. So give them the rewards that they deserve.

Dont let your SP that you have worked hard for just do nothing. Use it for the community.

Nope, can't stop my 3 a day habit.

And what kind of 3 a day man! You have 3 decent, big, quality posts. I can only imagine how much time a day this will take you to make these. I hope you keep this up, because you are making a hell of a career with it!

I'm sure not losing my 'Posting Mojo', in fact I don't mind (as far as for my Steemit hobby) the market is going down. It's something that happens, so live with it :) ...

I'll keep on posting as always... :)

Have a great day!!

Same here man! Aint going nowhere, its just investing in the future!

Exactly !! :)

There are less articles when it goes down, crazy mentaility.

'Those $$ signs need to be big or Im not writing anything' - the herd.

hahahahaha, Yeah Im not following their ideas but hey, who am I :D

You are SO right about this! We need to take this time when everyone else is quiet to find and share our voice even more. Mama always used to say, "Pennies make dollars - stay patient." 😊
Resteeming!

Exactly, even little small thing will end up into more in the end. We just do not pay attention to it enough here and there.

Now is the moment! Thanks for the resteem!

I havent slowed down 💚💚 Thanks for the affirmations xx

We all should not, and the fact that you are reading this means again you are on the right track :D

I'd think you should be more motivated to post now while things are down so that you can watch all of your gains increase when things are up. I say go for broke now and "buy the dip" by posting your heart out. You will reap the rewards in the end!

It is exactly like that he. 'Mine' SP in these times by posting and gain your wins later on.

Investment time!

Perfect post Karin. Valid reasons to post daily even when the market is low. I always feel that, I get attention easily when the market is down. Most people are not posting. They are just looking at the prices going down every moment and go into a dilemma. :-D

Well, it's not a time to relax. Create content daily! And win ;-)

Exactly, it is time to be active and have the benefits from it later in. Yeah especially in these 'slow' times I feel I have way more interaction with different users. It is quite nice actually. But love to see the Steemprice rise though ;)

I agree, these down times are the times when you get to grow your readerbase with actual true avid steemians, because all the greedy blerf-people have lost interest and only the true Steemians are left during these times. These are the people who actually count in your follower-amount.

I'd rather have 10 dedicated Steemians reading my blog than a 100 empty, hollow accounts just in it chasing the money. Not only is it more fun to connect with serious bloggers and readers, when the market turns upwards again it will pay out a lot more as well.

Totally agree, after the recent bot invasion and the 'nice post' comment wave I really like this type of interaction more. Everybody who is dedicated and haskind of a masterplan on what they want with their Steemit life.

This is the time of planting seeds I guess!

Right! And during this time, when you comment on other people's posts, you can actually get a reply and conversation like the one we have here now !

During the peak times I often comment, but it ends up being ignored or buried underneath a pile of crappy comments

Very true. In that kind of why the slower times are actually very fun, more intereaction going on. Nevertheless I would love to see the Steemprice going up a little naturally :D

Or the SBD price!

That $12 SBD from December was so nice :)
But it made no sense

Actually, I have been posting A LOT more than usual. I post daily, sometimes a couple of times a day, but with E3 going on, I had so much to post about. I didn't want to post more than 3 or 4 times a day, so I have a list of things I want to share in the coming days that I did not during E3. Market may be down, but not me.

I tend to post less depending on how I am feeling and if my burnout and CPTSD symptoms are more intense or not. Sometimes, I just need to disconnect from internet for a bit. Maybe I'm one of the exceptions, where posting habit does not depend on the market, but on my mood, and my mood typically depends on a lunar cycle :p

You are lunar circle modded yeah??? Ow wow, for real??

Yeah my posting habits are more about how much I have on my mind than how then market is doing. I try not to post more than once a day. Everything that pops up in my mind more than that I write down somewhere, and paste it in when I have less time. So I have like some blogs in spare hahahah

That always works. I do have a google doc where I write ideas for posts but I haven't put anything in there in a while. I just put it here :p

Yes, aside from my menstrual cycle playing a part, when the moon is full and waxing, I'm super inspired and usually tend to be more motivated and have more energy. When the moon is waning, I need more calm and to be less active. Sometimes it's weird because in my cycle I havemore energy and the moon is waning, so it's an in-between. But when I'm at my peek kin my monthly cycle and the moon is full, watch out, hyperactivity ftw. On the down side, if I'm right before my period or in it and the moon is waning at the same time, I am SUPER drained.

Ow wauw!!!

I had no idea this was even an option that it would effect a mood so much. Maybe that is something I should pay attention a bit to by myself...I might just learn something ou of it ;)

Thanks for your open views!

When you can attune yourself to your cycle, it can be very rewarding because you can plan activities and such accordingly, to optimise and be at your best. Like a day at the spa is best when you feel low and in need of rest. A big day out biking is best when you're at your prime. Sometimes focus and concentration is affected too. So you can become super efficient when you organise your schedule according to your cycle and keep certain tasks for certain times.
