LIVE FOR YOURSELF,DO YOU
In today's world,it's so easy for anyone to loose themselves. We get lost comparing ourselves to others, following colleagues footsteps, reading and emulating celebrities lifestyle, doing what everyone is doing and living for the society.
We all forget that we are individuals and no two persons are born the same. Our parents,the society and ourselves do not see the importance in finding and discovering ourselves which is a very important factor.
HAVE YOU EVER SAT DOWN TO ASK YOURSELF
- Why am I getting married?
- Why am I in school?
- Why am I a Christian/Muslim?
- What interests me the most?
- What makes me happy?
- What are my beliefs?
- What do I stand for?
- What differentiates me from others?
- What are my needs?
- Why do i do what you do?
The question goes on and on. Do you ever observe a quiet time alone ? How well do you know YOURSELF? If you don't know yourself,you will never Live for you, but be easily swayed by whatever the society demands and whatever is shoved to your face, that's not a fulfilling life.
How easy it is for us to forgive and make excuses for others but not ourselves . We grade ourselves by how better or worst we are compared to others,instead of by our own capability. All that needs to stop!!!! Find ,discover, love, believe in and live for yourself. No matter how much you try, you can never be good enough for everyone, be good enough for YOU.
A POEM FOR YOU
Do what works for you not the rest.
It's you before the world.
Be the author of the rules you follow.
The crowd should never choke your voice.
Live for yourself and don't ever stop.
You are not in competition with anyone.
Life is an individual race.
Let your identity shine.

This is beautiful. However, might I add that society doesnt start the habit of comparison in us, our parents do.
Do often i see parents compare one child to another in an unfavourable light.
They say to one child. And when this happens often, he invariably develops this belief that he's not food enough. He has to be like someone else to become worthy.
Soon, the habit of comparism becomes ingrained and with time you lose the essence of who you once were; who you truly are.
You nailed it!!
In life, the greatest gift a man can give to the world is to let his identity shine through. The world has a unique problem waiting to be solved by a unique person. Allowing your uniqueness shine thorough is your first stop at being fulfilled.
