WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION...

I know I am one of those people that can't find their way on reddit. I really hated it for as long as I can remember. Then I read this book and decided to try again,lol. Still trying to get a hang of it but I love Serena, so anything for her husband right.

Alexis Ohanian was boosted into limelight by Paul Graham's startup program called 'Y combinator'. Where he was supported with fund in which he and his partner used in confounding reddit. After he sold reddit, he has ventured into other businesses the latest been initialised. A venture capital that advices and invest in entrepreneurial ventures around the world.

He wrote his book titled Without Their Permission published October 1, 2013. Where he talked about changing the world positively with the internet. This book is sectioned into 3 parts:

• All Entrepreneur with business must be satisfying a need: Sometimes we use a lot of money, time and resources building our businesses, but at the end of the day we make nothing from the so called business. This is because we never took the time to figure out the need we are trying to satisfy in the society. Alexis in his book said we should carry out researches by talking to potential customers, try to find out what problems they have and then find a solution to it. After this, you have a business and a market to sell into.

• Internet can be helpful and at the same time harmful, be careful what you put out: Internet can either make or mar your business depending on your usage of it. Invest your internet time wisely and you will reap positively at the comfort of your room.

• Fighting to keep internet uncensored: Under this, he cited an example where the U.S government wanted to pass a bill which would have given the private party power to shut down website at will without any notice or justification. Alexis took it upon himself by championing this cause and in the process helps in discarding the bill. In his book, he also says we have to keep on fighting to keep the internet open by exercising our right or else we lose our free internet power.

In conclusion, while you are chilling on social media, try and find a legitimate source of income in the process and for those who had tried to build a business and failed, do not be afraid to try again.
